Whether you’re visiting Ohio for the historic landmarks, national and state parks, the state fair, or famous food, the Buckeye State has plenty to offer. Ohio also has rodeos year round, so make sure to schedule one into your trip.

Buckin’ Ohio puts on professional bull riding events that are wild, tough and exciting. There’s an event each month from May to October, so be sure to go see some of the performances this season.

Buckin’ Ohio is dedicated to supporting rodeos as one of the fastest growing sports in the nation. At Buckin’ Ohio performances, you’ll see skilled cowboys and tough bulls demonstrate their athletic skills in bull riding competitions. There are also mutton bustin’ classes available in June.

Fox Hollow Rodeo

The Fox Hollow Rodeo is a year round rodeo in Waynesville, Ohio. Performances are every Saturday night at 6pm, and go on rain or shine. Fox Hollow Rodeo even has an indoor arena for events between October and April, so you can see a rodeo any time of the year.

Fox Hollow Rodeo has semi-pro and amateur bull riding, barrel racing, calf riding, and mutton bustin’. There’s even jackpot bull riding, where contestants have a chance to win a cash prize. During intermissions, there’s line dancing and full service concessions to enjoy. It’s an exciting and affordable evening for the whole family.

Rafter M Rodeo

Rafter M Rodeo was founded in 1994 by Bob Montag. This rodeo aims to create fun, family-friendly entertainment for Belmont, Ohio. There are rodeo performances from June to October, so make sure you catch one of their shows this summer. Along with the rodeo, you can enjoy vendors, delicious concessions, food trucks, or even stop by the beer tent.

High Steel Rodeo

High Steel Rodeo is a rough and tough western rodeo with the motto, “Be Stronger Than Your Excuses.” It hosts rodeo events on the second Saturday of each month, from May to October.

In addition to the main event, there are kids events before the show, and live entertainment during intermissions. If you’re in Northeast Ohio this year, make sure you stop by for a fun and unique family experience at High Steel Rodeo.

Crazy Woman Ranch Buckle Cash Series

Crazy Woman Ranch organizes year round contests and rodeo events for both youth and adults to participate in. They have a variety of performances, including youth rodeos, barrel races, team roping, and even an open horse show in August. The proceeds of the Open Horse Show in the fall benefit the Rough Riders 4-H club.

One of the main events of the year is the 3D Jackpot Buckle Cash Series. It’s held every Wednesday year round, so there’s non-stop excitement. The top 10 contestants in each division will compete in a runoff race in December.

Crazy Woman Ranch also hosts a Youth Rodeo Series throughout the year, with the Youth Finals in March. The Jr High and High School Finals are in April. There’s even a royalty contest. Riders can also participate in rodeo classes and clinics, or practice in the open arena.

Crazy Woman Ranch shows are approved by Better Barrel Races (BBR). BBR is a set of rodeo guidelines that rodeos must follow so that participants can know it’s a trusted rodeo event.
