Known for its beautiful Atlantic coast, lighthouses, and barbeque, there’s a lot to see and do in North Carolina. It’s also home to some wonderful rodeos.
Rodeo Carolina is organized by the WCRA. The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) organizes rodeos. Rodeo Carolina offers six figures in prize money.
You can see Madison County Championship Rodeo performances every other Saturday night. You’ll see sheep riding, barrel racing, wild horse riding, steer riding, bull riding, and dogging. There’s even a kids dance competition with a cash prize that your kids can participate in.
The Day of the Cowboy Rodeo includes two rodeos both held in Lumber Bridge. You can see the Cowboy Rodeo in July. You’ll see bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and roping at this competition. Beyond watching impressive performances, you can enjoy shopping from local artisans and classic fair food.
In August, you can see the Ranch Rodeo & Bull riding Championship. At a ranch rodeo, teams compete performing typical ranch tasks.
You’ll see bull riding, barrel racing, and bronc riding in September at this Morganton rodeo. Jr’s Great American Rodeo also offers mutton bustin’ competitions for kids.
