The Goshen Stampede is the biggest rodeo in Connecticut, so you won’t want to miss it. It goes on for a full weekend during June. Saturday and Sunday showcase the main Pro Rodeo event, where the toughest bull riders in the east compete in classic rodeo events. The main events are bronc riding, bull riding, bareback riding, and barrel racing.
In addition to the Pro Rodeo, cowgirls also compete in breakaway roping, barrel racing, and goat tying. There’s also steer wrestling, a kid’s rodeo, and a Non-Pro barrel racing event. There will be a professional rodeo clown and entertainer, and America’s Youngest Professional Trick Rider.
Goshen Stampede has lots of fun and exciting events going on all weekend. Friday night hosts a huge demolition derby with $2,500 in prize money. You can also watch the Shootout Tri-State Truck Pull, Monster Truck Mania, the Stockyards operators challenge, or a kid’s demolition derby. There are also carnival rides, a free petting zoo, country music, and gourmet fair food, so there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
The Falls Creek Farm Barrel Classic is a WPRA sanctioned event. Cowgirls will compete in barrel racing. It’s held in Moosup, CT at the Falls Creek Farms. You can see this exciting event for a full weekend in May, June, or August.
