Whatever draws you to Mississippi, there’s a lot to enjoy in the state. You can even catch an exciting rodeo performance.

Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo

The Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo is a big celebration. Events include

• Sale of Junior Champions,
• Rodeo Days Expo,
• Mississippi Ag and Outdoor Expo,
• Dixie National Steakhouse,
• Dixie National Parade,
• Dixie National After Parties,
• Rodeo Pageant,
• Dixie National Junior Round-up, and
• Dixie National Open Show.

Whether you want to see the work done by students in 4H, see a rodeo, attend a concert, go shopping, or just enjoy a nice steak dinner, the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo is the place to be.

Held at the end of January and beginning of February, don’t miss the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Killebrew International Pro Rodeo

In June, check out the Killebrew International Pro Rodeo. You’ll see bull riding, calf roping, team roping, barrel races, and bronc riding. You can even see other speciality acts like bull poker.

Tippah County Fair and Rodeo

Held in Ripley, you can enjoy all that the county fair offers: carnival rides, horse and cattle shows, contests, a beauty pageant, a rodeo and more.

The variety of activities at the Tippah County Fair and Rodeo make it a great family event. If you’re in Tippah County in August, add it to your itinerary.

Mississippi Rodeo Associations

Mississippi has several rodeo associations that support rodeo sports throughout the state. The Mississippi High School Rodeo Association (MHSRA) focuses its efforts on high school athletes.

Several rodeo associations in Mississippi operate in multiple states. For example, the Real Cowboy Rodeo Association (RCA) and Tri-State Rodeo Association (TSRA) both support rodeos in three states. The RCA sanctions rodeos in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. The TSRA supports rodeos in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.
